Stage Inspections
Our independent third-party stage inspections ensure that workmanship meets industry standards, enhancing compliance and quality throughout the construction process. Stage inspections are a CRITICAL part of the construction process, ensuring your new home is built to the highest standards at every key milestone. These inspections are carried out throughout the build, including stages such as slab, frame, lockup, fixing, and practical completion. By identifying any defects, workmanship issues, or compliance concerns early, stage inspections provide homeowners, with peace of mind and help prevent costly problems later. Our inspections ensure the works meet Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC), your contractual requirements and industry best practice before construction progresses to the next phase.
Enclosed & Waterproofing Inspections
Waterproofing failures are one of the most costly defects in new construction. Once walls are plastered and tiles are laid, it becomes extremely expensive to rectify waterproofing issues.
Our inspection at the enclosed/lock-up stage verifies that waterproofing membranes are correctly applied to wet areas, flashings are properly installed, and the building envelope will protect against water ingress. Water damage claims account for over 40% of building defect disputes. Prevention is far cheaper than cure.
We conduct specialist waterproofing inspections to identify potential failures and ensure compliance with relevant standards, preventing future damage to your property.
FAQ’S
When should I book a waterproofing inspection?
After the waterproofing membrane is applied to wet areas (bathrooms, en-suites, laundry) but BEFORE tiles are laid. Once tiles are down, the membrane is hidden for the life of the home.
How much does a waterproofing inspection cost?
$550 inc GST. Same fixed price as our other stage inspections, no travel surcharges within our Brisbane and SEQ service area.
